UT Dallas at Super Computing 22

UT Dallas is showcased at the international supercomputing conference in Dallas, Texas.

The University of Texas at Dallas is proud to be at the site of the 2022 International Conference for High Performance Computing, Networking, Storage, and Analysis, or SC22, November 13–18. This is the biggest event of its kind in the world, and it will bring together some of the most innovative technologies and people from around the globe. In addition to hosting some of the world’s biggest and best technologies, SC22 will also host some of the most innovative researchers in high-performance computing, data science, artificial intelligence, and networking projects.

In preparation for SC22, a team of OIT members partnered with other members from academia, research, and industry to develop the SCInet Infrastructure. By setting up access points, laying wiring and creating thresholds for the network fiber, the team was able to develop the fastest volunteer-built network on earth. OIT Student employees had the opportunity to volunteer at SCInet as well.

At SC22, UT Dallas will be exhibiting their work alongside some of these leading manufacturers and research organizations. Research includes Dr. Fumagalli’s research and the OIT HPC team. Research posters included Open ROADM MSA, Open Optical Transponder, and Cyberinfrastructures/Research Computing.  Visit booth #3824 to learn more about what UT Dallas has been up to in high-performance computing, data science, artificial intelligence, and networking projects!
