A few weeks ago, the Office of Information Technology at UT Dallas (represented by Shivani Narian and Karthik Polam) attended Alliance 2022 event which was held at the Washington State Convention Center, Seattle. The event was organized by The Higher Education User Group; the leading global user-community in higher education.
The Higher Education User Group (HEUG) provides a platform for diverse institutions to come together and use collective knowledge to maximize and accelerate their return on investments in people, business processes and technologies. The HEUG community traverses the intersection of information systems and business processes, and focus areas include Finance, Human Capital Management, Customer Relationship Management and Student Systems.
As a key participant at the conference, The Office of Information Technology shared our experiences implementing Oracle’s new cutting-edge features in our Enterprise Resource Planning, such as our unified navigation experience for students, faculty, and staff in PeopleSoft, Orion and Gemini.
Our participation in this event expanded our awareness of new ERP features currently being used by other leading universities and consolidated our strategies towards increasing student experience and engagement. We are looking at adopting software that helps with the pronunciation of names. Given our diverse population, we believe this could be a great benefit to the university. It can be used during commencement, university functions and even daily interactions.
We are excited about the incredible opportunities that our continued engagement with HUEG brings to the UT Dallas community.
