OIT is aware of an issue affecting some external calls to the University to be disconnected and is working with Microsoft for a solution. Calls to our Service Desk are functioning normally. We will provide additional details as they become available.

Enterprise Data Services
The Office of Information Technology (OIT) Enterprise Data Services (EDS) Team provides support, monitoring, and backups for Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL and PostgreSQL databases that reside within the OIT enterprise database environments. The EDS Team strives to make these enterprise database environments robust and secure while the vision of the EDS Team is to expand and enhance these environments with additional features, support tools, and capacity.

Overview of services provided:
- Provide database administration support for the complete life cycle of an application
- Assist with code deployment
- Architect database servers and solutions
- Provide consultation on database integration and product evaluation
- Perform database maintenance, migration, upgrade, and patching
- Provide proactive and reactive database monitoring and administration
- Troubleshoot performance issues
- Administering on-premise and Cloud database environments
- Administer database storage and capacity planning
- Administer database backups and recovery
- Administer database security
- Develop and deploying job/task automation
Please note the EDS team does not currently provide the following services:
- SQL development
- Report development/visualization
Vended Application Support Services
The Vended Application Support (VAS) Team creates and maintains sustainable processes that help our customers maximize the value of their application via standardization and simplification. Application integrations with Active Directory or Comet Card data can be scheduled during the application implementation or as needed.
Application Lifecycle Management (ALM)
Application Lifecycle Management is available at any point between the initial implementation planning through the application’s retirement. This includes platform migrations, application upgrades and maintaining integrations with other applications or IT services.
Operating System Administration
In conjunction with ALM, Windows server and RHEL administration are available. This includes monitoring, data backup, operating system hardening, platform migration, Java VM Support and TLS Certificate Renewal for application websites.
SaaS Custom Integrations
In conjunction with ALM, custom integrations utilizing SAML, Active Directory and Comet Card Data are available. Approval from the Office of Registrar or Comet Card Office will be required for most integrations.
Workload Migrations to Public Cloud
In conjunction with ALM, support is available to manage the migration of premise workloads to public cloud providers. Starting in FY 2020, all new ALM requests will need to include a plan for migrating the current or new application workload to a public cloud provider.

- WebEx is a web based platform that allows effective collaboration by streamlining the entire meeting process by providing highly secure online space to share all media related information.
- Documents, Application as well as entire desktop can be shared with attendees in real time
- WebEx allows for high-definition video and integrated voice communication interaction
- Meetings can be scheduled or joined by any computer or mobile device that has internet access
Pexip
- Pexip is a Cloud based technology that allows upto 30 participants from several videos technologies to meet together in a virtual meeting room
- Pexip supports the following technologies:
- Polycom Video Endpoints
- Skype for Business
- Lifesize video endpoints
- Cisco/ Tandberg Video Endpoints
- WebRTC users via Safari or Internet Explorer
- Any other SIP or H.323 Video device
- Apple iOS or Android OS based device

- Cloud based technology
- Allows up to 30 participants to meet together in a virtual meeting room
