Coming on October 28, 2019 the new look provides numerous immediate benefits for students and applicants including:
- Intuitive navigation: users get where they are going quickly and easily
- Mobile device friendly: device awareness – easily view pages on any device
- Optimized user experience: user-specific Dashboards and quick link tiles to key self-service areas
The new Orion Student Center, which was designed to be used on mobile devices, can also be used on a laptop and desktop. The new Orion Student Center is more than a mobile platform; it is responsive and recognizes the device form factor being used and adapts the layout to optimize the user’s experience.

On Monday, October 28, Orion Student Center will display a fresh appearance that elevates the user experience for our students. With the latest upgrades to the student portal, Orion Student Center users will encounter a site that is easy to navigate, displays a modern view, and adapts to screen size and resolution.
Step 1
- Select the Manage My Classes tile.
Step 2
- Your Enrollment Appointments will appear when you select the Enrollment Appointment option in the left menu.

- Select the Manage My Classes tile.

- You can access the Shopping Cart, Adding Classes, Swapping Classes, and Dropping Classes options in the left menu.

- Select the Financial Aid tile.
- If you have aid for multiple years, you will be given a box to select the Aid Year. If not, you will be directed to the only Aid Year available to you.

- Under the Award Summary option in the left menu, you will see any aid that has been offered to you.
- Under the Accept/Decline option in the left menu, you will be alerted to any aid that you need to accept or decline.

- Select the Manage My Classes tile.

- Select the Class Search option in the left menu. It will display the class search options.

- Holds and To Do Items are now consolidated in the Tasks tile.
- The tile will display the number of holds you have on your record and the number of outstanding To Do Items to submit to university offices. If you have no holds or To Do Items outstanding, the Tasks tile is view-only.

- Select the Holds option in the left menu and you will see the hold(s) on record. Select the hold for more information.

- The university utilizes EZ Pay for all tuition payments. You can access a link to EZ Pay via the Bursar Account tile.

- Select the Payment Options drop down and then the Link to EZ Pay option.

- Select the Bursar Account tile.

- Select the Payment Options drop down and then the option for Enroll in Short Term Loan will be in the left menu.

- Select the Profile tile.

- Options for updating contact information are listed in the left menu. Select Contact Details to view/update your phone number and/or email address. Select Addresses to view/update your physical address. Select Emergency Contacts to update your emergency contact.
Official Transcripts
- Official transcript requests can still be completed within Galaxy using the Order Official Transcript link under the Orion Self-Service (Student) folder.
Unofficial Transcripts
Unofficial transcripts can be found in the Student Center Dashboard.
- Select the My Academics tile.
- Select the View My Transcript option.

- Your Class Schedule will appear as the first option in the left menu. Your weekly schedule will appear as the second option in the left menu.

No, only students will be able to see the new Orion Student Center. Faculty and staff will still continue to see the same version of Orion. In future phases we hope to have an administrative view of the new Orion Student Center for faculty/staff who need to assist students.
