Purpose
This article has the instructions to download, install and activate MATLAB software on personal devices. Individual employees and student users at UT Dallas can install a standalone copy on personal devices. To install MATLAB on a personal computer, Mathworks accounts must be set up. For installation on UTD computers, please do not use a personal install. Please submit a ticket with the OIT Helpdesk to request an installation to be associated with the site license.
Explanation
MATLAB may notify you that your license will expire after a certain number of days. This message refers to the university-wide license that is updated once per year. When it is updated, you may need to run an installer to ensure the updated license is applied to your installation. Please note that this only applies to MATLAB installations on personal computers; license updates are applied automatically to UTD machines.
